Friend Ships

We worked for several days at the headquarters of a ministry called "Friend Ships," which goes around the world providing humanitarian aid using their fleet of ships. We stayed in cabins on the "Spirit of Grace," one of the two main ships at the ministry's headquarters. A narrow hallway on the "Spirit of Grace." Friend Ships is not for the claustrophobic!
Katie and Kristina on the bunk beds in the girls' cabin. The girls worked sorting clothes - checking for stains, tears, etc. - to send overseas. The unsorted clothes were in big "Superbags" (background) and were sorted into "good" and "bad" boxes.
When the boxes started to get full, someone - like Amy, above - had to get up on top of the boxes and smash the clothes down. Empty Superbags had to be deflated so they could be piled up on top of each other. Kristina was very good at this.
