Skiing Pictures - Guanella Pass Road

Guanella Pass Road is a scenic little mountain road that winds up to (where else?) Guanella Pass. It was surprising to see a highway-style sign on this dirt road. As you travel up Guanella Pass Road, you pass a series of small lakes. This is Blue Lake.
Blue Lake doubles as the Georgetown water supply. There's even a little dam at the end! Green Lake is evidently green... when it's not covered by a thick layer of ice and snow.
Clear Lake features a hydroelectric power plant! An electric buzzing could be heard eminating from the power plant. The deep snow and trees along the side of the road
Mom saw this bighorn sheep walking nonchalantly along the road. She went up again later, taking most of the family with her. It began snowing on the way. The further we went up the road, the deeper the snow got, and for a time, we were stuck!
If you have to be stuck, why not make it fun? We had a snowball fight! Andrew was really excited. Mom, Josiah, Andrew, and Jessica on Guanella Pass Road.
